Fundraiser

Taste of Africa is one of our fundraiser events where we prepare delicious African dishes from various African countries and display our products locally produced by women and youth from our NewLife Designs Marketing and Sales Division.
This event has served as an opportunity to bring the immediate Ottawa and Gatineau communities together and educate our participants about the Black culture namely from cuisine to tradition and values.  We use this event to mainly raise funds for our Backpack and school supplies project for students in Sierra Leone, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire and to support the activities of the project in our immediate community such as the sewing and French classes.
We also organize fashions to promote our products and thus increase sales which helps to sustain our activities. This is an opportunity to display the richness of Black culture and tradition.
This year, we are  launching a comprehensive Youth Empowerment Program,
addressing crucial issues facing young individuals through workshops, mentoring, career development, and community engagement. Your investment in this initiative will reflect our shared commitment to building a stronger, more vibrant community and empowering our youth as an investment in our community's future success and sustainability.  To attain these goals, NewLife is implementing the following:
  1. Educational Workshops
  2. Mentorship
  3. Career Development
  4. Community Engagement
We humbly request your generous support and donations to help us develop and implement this impactful youth empowerment program, which will enable us to make a lasting difference in the lives of young individuals striving for a brighter future.
